Cornbread I
- 3 cups cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 2 t baking powder
- 1 cup buttermilk 1 t sugar
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 T grease
Mix all ingredients except grease well. Heat grease in the pan you will cook the cornbread in (a cast iron skillet works the best). Pour melted grease into mixture and pour mixture into pan. Cook at 450-5000 for 20 minutes or until brown.
