Buttermilk Pie
- 1/4 cup flour (sifted)
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 1/4 cups .sugar
- 3 eggs, unbeaten
- 1 slick butter, melted
- 2t vanilla
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 unbaked 9" deep dish pie crust
Sift flour and add to sugar and mix. Add butter and eggs, blend together. Don’t whip. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Bake in unbaked pie shell 35-40 minutes. Do not refrigerate – store at room temperature.
